Following from it’s success last year, Cork Craft Month is back with a packed programme of events, and we were lucky enough to be selected to work with them, creating a new style for the programme, which we carried through to the posters, flyers, signage and more…
“Cork Craft Month is a celebration of the amazing abundance of high-quality craft produced in Cork County and City. It features crafts people working individually or collectively to present a diverse and exciting range of craft through exhibitions, workshops, craft fairs and open studios. It’s the perfect opportunity to see, feel, collect and learn about contemporary craft in Cork.”
Generally when working on something that is so personal and reflects on the community of artistic types, you would expect that it would be designed “by committee” to appeal to everybodies taste. Nothing could’ve been further from the truth. Everyone we dealt with was a dream to deal with, with all relevant, constructive inputs into the process. And what’s more, all content was supplied in a thought out, constructive fashion to make our life somewhat easier. Deadlines were tight but we got there in the end, and we’re quite proud of the end result!
We’ve had a sneak peak at some of the exhibits, craft fairs, seminars and workshops and it looks like it’ll be an incredible month long experience. We’ve pencilled in some of the exhibits we’ll be going to, so that we can take in some of the works on display, and going on the people we’ve already worked with on this, it’s sure to be an amazing event.
